Some of the main techniques I noticed were plain folks and simple solutions. This was plain folks because they showed average, ordinary people to make it apply for any other average person. This was simple solutions because the little girl didn't want to associate herself with anything for babies, which was literally everything in this ad. Until she sees the Cheerio box, she finds something that she wants. The ad uses a lot of repetition to get emphasize that everything is for babies but in the end there is one thing that is for everyone--the cheerios. She says "That's for babies" about four times and says babies itself five times. The main appeal was the need to nurture because they use this cute little girl that makes the audience want to take care of her or a child. Overall, I really liked this commercial. The little girl is so cute!

Media Log #11--Cheerios Commercial

Until she sees the Cheerio box, she finds something that she wants. This commercial is really cute! I remember seeing it on TV a while back, so it's also memorable. Cheerios is a trustworthy product that everyone loves and he company plays on that in the commercial. The video is humorous and heart warming and, not to mention, it gives us a craving for cereal. The target audience are mothers, and the technique is repetition. After hearing the little girl go against anything childish, the Cheerios seems to please her. This expresses the generalization that Cheerios is for everyone: young and old. This is a successful commercial that doesn't annoy or bother.

This being my 50th time watching this commercial, I still think your sister looks very much like the adorable girl in the commercial. Not just in this commercial, but in other Cheerios commercials, Cheerios seems to be targeting the commercials around plain folks and a happy family. There is this commercial which targets young moms and there is the other commercial where there is a family sitting at a table where the dad is happy that Cheerios tastes good and lowers cholestral. Cheerios is also affiliated with the thought out togetherness because of those two commercials just mentioned and the other commercial where a lot of people are at this diner who all order Cheerios. What is most appealing about Cheerios commercials is there plain folks appeal.
